The Pharmaceutical Care Network Europe (PCNE) was established in 1994 and it became an official association (under Dutch law) in 2004.
Pharmaceutical Care is the pharmacist's contribution to the care of individuals, in order to optimize medicines use and improve health outcomes.

The aim of this project was, firstly, to study the views of Icelandic GPs concerning pharmacists and current collaboration between pharmacists and GPs in patient care, and to introduce pharmaceutical care service to GPs using action research methodology. Secondly, this project aimed to analyse further the comments that the research pharmacist made when providing the service.
