The Pharmaceutical Care Network Europe (PCNE) was established in 1994 and it became an official association (under Dutch law) in 2004.
Pharmaceutical Care is the pharmacist's contribution to the care of individuals, in order to optimize medicines use and improve health outcomes.
At its latest monthly meeting which took place on the 5th January, the PCNE Board has decided to hold this years' conference fully online.
The Board believes this is the best option, taking into account the current health concerns within the context of an active pandemic, which result on travel and venue restrictions.
The health of all PCNE members is the Board's primary concern, and although it acknowledges that it will be impossible to fully replicate the atmosphere of the in-person annual events, the Scientific Committee, led by President Isabelle Arnet, has prepared a unique virtual event experience for all participants.
Bearing in mind the high probabilty to have participants from all over the world, the programme has been reorganized to ensure that participation in the workshops is optimized. The workshops themselves have also been designed taking into account the new virtual format.
The Board is very optimistic about the participation at the conference, which has seen a record of 71 accepted abstracts.
Given the newly adopted format, the Board has also decided to extend the registration deadline to the 31st January.
However, participants are encouraged to register as soon as possible, to ensure their workshop preference is still available.
We look forward to seeing you online very soon!
