Mission Statement
A European Network on research and programme development of
pharmaceutical care is to be established.
The
basic concept is a continuous quality improvement of drug
therapy for the individual patient which is outcome and
quality-of-life oriented. Basic functions are identifying, solving and preventing drug-related problems
through monitoring, review and documentation of processes,
outcomes and implementation in cooperation with other health-care professionals. The drug therapy may be pharmacy
prescribed, prescribed by other health-care professionals or
self prescribed (self medication).
