The main goal for PCNE is to develop pharmacy along the lines of pharmaceutical care in the involved countries through establishment and accomplishment of projects which are carried out in more countries simultaneously. The projects can/should include national programme development, evaluation and comparative and pooled analyses.

PCNE generates networks around projects; the goal is to develop up to 5 projects within the first 3 years of its existence. For every project, a leader is appointed.
