About PCNE

The Pharmaceutical Care Network Europe (PCNE) was established in 1994 by a number of European pharmaceutical care researchers. It became an official association (under Dutch law) in 2005. The aim of PCNE is to help to develop pharmacy along the lines of pharmaceutical care in the involved European countries through:

As per February 2004, researchers from 18 European countries and one researcher from the USA are officially involved in PCNE as member or associated member. The European countries are:

Administration

The board of the network / association counts six people. A chairperson for the association is appointed for 2 years. The chairmanship changes between the countries where the members come from. The chairperson, together with the secretary, the professional secretary and the other 4 board members supervise the necessary administration and the organisation of annual meeting(s).
Chairman in 2007 - 2009 is Dr. Filipa Alves da Costa from Portugal.
Secretary in 2007 - 2009 is Dr. Mara Guerreiro from Portugal.


The professional secretarial tasks are carried out by van Mil Consultancy from the Netherlands.
