Practical information for Leuven

How to get there?

  • By plane • Brussels Airport Zaventem. The direct rail link gets you to Leuven in only 15 minutes. • Brussels South Charleroi Airport. The airport shuttle bus to Leuven takes one hour.
  • By train • From Leuven, it takes half an hour to reach the international Brussels South train station (and vice versa). From there, you can reach Paris, London, Amsterdam and numerous other European destinations in no time.

Accomodation?

We have not assigned an official conference hotel, but the Park Inn would be a good choice near the station. If you register for any of the events in Leuven, you will receive a confirmation-mail with additional information about reduced rates for the Park Inn. If you want something different, in Leuven, you can choose from 18 other hotels (see http://www.leuven.be/en/tourism/staying-over/hotels/) and a number of bed&breakfast addresses (http://www.leuven.be/en/tourism/staying-over/bed-and-breakfast/). Of course you can also use more general sites like http://www.booking.com.

How to reach the conference venue?

All meetings will be organized at the University Hospital, Campus Gasthuisberg. This campus is within 20 minutes walking distance from the city center. The hospital can also easily reached by bus (from the railway station as well as from the city center).
